While we strive to provide the most reliable network in the area, often times various things outside our control can cause one to lose internet. Here are a few tips to try first.

Power cycle your equipment. This would be the PoE Box and the WiFi Router. Often times routers or radios can get stuck in an odd state. We see this happen more during lightning storms or power surges.

Is your power on? Would the current weather cause a power outage upstream? Not all of our towers have backup power sources, so if the electricity is down at the tower, it could cause an outage for anyone using that tower.

Is the internet down on a different device? Sometimes the WiFi on a phone or laptop might get stuck in an odd state, while other devices on the same connection are functioning properly. If the internet is working on some devices but not others, it is likely a technical problem with your device. We cannot provide support on a device specific level.

Is the internet working, but just slower than you expect? Remember, the plan you are on is total speed. If someone else on the same network is using the internet, it will impact the remaining bandwidth which would cause slower than normal speeds.

Check our Announcements page and ensure there isn’t a scheduled or emergency maintenance planned on your tower.
